FAMILY-BASED PETITIONS


You may be eligible for a Green Card through your family member. provided you are 


  •  An immediate relative of a US citizen. That includes spouses, unmarried children under the age of 21, and parents of petitioning citizens who are 21 or older. 
  •  A family member of a US citizen who fits into a preference category. This includes unmarried sons or daughters over the age of 21, married children of any age, siblings, and petitioners of US citizens over the age of 21. 
  • A member of the family of a Green Card holder. This includes the spouses and unmarried children of the sponsoring Green Card holder. 

   

  • Replacement and renewal of expired, lost or destroyed Green Cards. 
  • Permanent residence for parents of US citizens.

CITIZENSHIP & NATURALIZATION


Naturalization is the process by which US citizenship is granted to a resident after he or she meets the requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).


In general, you may qualify for naturalization under Section 319 (a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) if you: 


  • Have been a permanent resident (Green Card holder) for at least 5 years or
  • Have been living in a marital union with the same US citizen spouse for 3 years, and
  • Meet all other eligibility requirements in this section.
